Tell a lie and your butt will grow

Summary:

Zack has a classmate named Andrew Clancy who always brags to their class. One day, Zack told him to go to the police station and take a lie-detector test. At this moment, Mrs. Coleman Levin came into the classroom and told the class that the science fair was next Monday and that everyone had to choose a partner for building their project. Zack's teacher told him to cooperate with Andrew. 

Zack, his father, and Andrew went to the police station and started the test. When the police started to ask Andrew a question, the lie-detector pen was going crazy, then Zack found that Andrew's butt was growing bigger and bigger. After the test was done, they covered Andrew's butt with a raincoat. 

On Friday, Andrew and Zack were discussing their project. Finally, they decided to make a two-seater bicycle with a generator that could light a bulb. On Sunday, they finished their project one day early. 

The next day, the day of the science fair, Zack took a look at some project and thought it was stupid. Meanwhile, Andrew's butt was getting bigger and bigger, so he went to the bathroom. 

While Andrew was inside, Vernon told him what was (not, actually)inside his bathroom. Zack had told Andrew not to say anything, but Andrew told Vernon what was (not, actually) inside his own bathroom. Andrew got stuck in the stall this way because he kept telling lies to others. Zack told Andrew that he would find somebody to help. Zack went and told the police that Andrew needed truth serum. The police agreed to help and had Andrew drink it, and then Andrew's butt finally got smaller.

Zack and Andrew went back to the gym where there were two judges waiting for them. Zack told them about Andrew’s butt, and then they started to introduce their project. After the science fair was finished, they didn't get any prize, but Andrew felt appreciation for all that Zack had done for him. 

 

 

Reflection:

This book made me feel more serious about not lying to others, because Andrew told lies that made his butt grow. Even though I know that can never be real, I still don’t want that kind of punishment to happen to me, so I’ve decided never to tell a lie to anyone.
